Since 2018, we’ve created lasting impact through workshops and projects that support local communities. Key initiatives like ‘Stories We Tell’ and ‘Community Utopia’ promote well-being and creative expression, preserving local stories with Heritage England’s support.
Hear from Our Participants: Real Stories of Growth and Connection
Our programs enhance well-being, strengthen connections, and build confidence for underrepresented communities, families, and volunteers through creative workshops and events in photography and digital skills, fostering belonging and personal growth.
Reaching net zero is central to our mission for a more resilient future.
Our workshops explore sustainability through photo walks, public transportation, and visits to community gardens, where local people learn about growing food, composting, and healthy living, all while caring for the planet.
Participants also engage with eco-friendly practices such as buying local and using recycled materials for crafts, fostering a deeper connection between well-being and environmental responsibility.
We visit local markets like Watney Market and Chrisp Street Market, which are often overlooked, helping local people reconnect with their neighborhoods.
Through our workshops and community events, we foster a sense of belonging and pride in these spaces, encouraging participants to rediscover the value of their local areas.
These activities also help reduce social anxiety by creating welcoming environments for people to engage with their communities, while contributing to increased footfall, supporting local businesses and revitalising shared spaces.
We offer paid opportunities to former participants, such as Shahena, who created a community map for our East London: Food Chronicles project, and Sylvie, who regularly collaborates with us.
Our workshops in photography, digital skills, and creative arts empower participants with valuable skills, contributing to personal growth and economic opportunities. We also visit local shops, fostering connections with local businesses, which further supports community engagement and economic sustainability
