Our collage workshops promoted well-being and strengthened group cohesion among older stroke survivors, who created collaborative artworks displayed at WaterHouse Restaurant in collaboration with Shoreditch Trust. The project supported physical improvement and offered participants a meaningful opportunity to share personal photos and celebrate their heritage together.

Funded by the Heritage Fund, this project celebrates East London’s communities through their food and stories, exploring themes of migration, the cost-of-living crisis, and environmental issues.
NHS Therapeutic Workshop
In partnership with the NHS at the Regional Neurological Rehabilitation Unit (RNRU), Mindful Photo Lab guided creative workshops for patients recovering from brain injuries.
With support from Shaun Catton and dedicated volunteers, the workshops focused on creating collages centered on memory, hope, and shared stories. Through hands-on activities like cutting and drawing, participants improved physical abilities, enhanced well-being, and found renewed hope for the future.

International Women's Day
For International Women’s Day, we held an empowering workshop and exhibition at Poplar Union, led by artist Sylvie Belbouab and supported by the Lottery Community Fund.
This project brought together women from diverse backgrounds to celebrate their strength and creativity.
Through collaborative art-making, participants crafted personal works that reflected their stories and experiences.
The event concluded with an exhibition that highlighted each participant’s unique voice, creating a vibrant and inspiring space for community connection and reflection.
Zafu Mind: An Introduction to Meditation with Photography
We hosted an 8-week mindful photography workshop at St. Margaret’s House, open to people of all religions and backgrounds.
This workshop provided a unique space for participants to connect deeply through personal storytelling and photography practices while practicing mindfulness meditation.
Each week, attendees engaged in mindful photography techniques that helped them explore self-awareness, reduce stress, and foster emotional resilience.

The Sea Between Us
During lockdowns in 2020, Mindful Photo Lab, in collaboration with Rose Fraser from the Bromley by Bow Centre, led a series of online workshops to support communities by fostering connection and resilience.
Participants were able to make sense of a difficult time, share their stories, develop resilience skills, and form friendships.
The project culminated in an in-person celebration and exhibition in August at the Bromley by Bow Centre.
