Mindful Photography Programs for the Community
Since December 2019, our Mindful Photography Programs have been supporting the local community through various initiatives.
We have collaborated with the NHS, community centers, art galleries, universities, and charities to conduct wellbeing workshops aimed at addressing mental health issues, promoting environmental awareness, advocating for equity, enhancing accessibility, preserving East London unique heritage and amplifying marginalized voices.
Stories We Tell
‘Stories We Tell’ is a series of mindful photography workshops to improve well-being. Through playful assignment, participants learn new skills, share their personal stories, and connect with their community in a playful way.
East London: Food Chronicles
Food has always played a pivotal role in our lives, connecting history, culture, and heritage. "East London: Food Chronicles" vividly captures East London's culinary tapestry, spotlighting how colonialism, immigration, and contemporary challenges like rising living costs and environmental concerns have intricately woven and shaped the community's food stories.
Community Utopia
'Community Utopia' aims to respond to the current mental health crisis faced by our communities by focusing on the cost of living crisis, race and gender inequality and the environmental crisis.
“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.” ― Rumi
“Pierre’s photography workshop granted me a creative outlet during the onset of precarious times. The experience was rooted in community. Everyone, unique in identity, lens and interpretation, had a platform to share and engage with each other’s creations. It was inspiring to be apart of, a form of mutual aid through art.”
