How the online Mindful Photography Course works

At the Mindful Photo Lab we practice non-religious meditation. Meditation is about understanding how the mind works. It a universal tool accessible to all.

We will meet once a week for an hour on Zoom. During this time we will explore various mindfulness techniques, such a the mindfulness of breathing, the gratitude meditation…, and a photography assignment.

You will have one week to complete your assignment. Each session will start by a short meditation, followed by a positive review of your pictures. This will be an opportunity to share you personal experience in a safe space.

I’m a complete amateur when it comes to photography – will I be able to participate?

Our mindful photography course is open to all. We will focus on mindfulness and story telling rather than the technical aspects of photography.

You can use any camera, a smartphone will do!

Is this therapy?

Personally, mindfulness has helped me overcome many challenges such as social anxiety, impulsivity, and depression. Above all it’s a set of practical skills that are easy to implement in our daily lives.

On the other hand, photography is the most accessible art form enabling us connecting with the world around us and our inner self when words can’t.

Nonetheless, keep in mind that I’m not a trained therapist. In fact, you can think of myself as a guide offering you a safe space to practice mindfulness and photography in a playful way.

What if I miss a session?

In the event that you miss a session you will be able to catch up the next week. Be mindful to notify me 24h in advance if possible. 

And if I don’t like the course?
